SFF is a 5-day hybrid event happing between 8 and 12 November to promote FinTech in the digital economy in the public and private sectors.
Organised by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), partnering with the Association of Banks in Singapore, and collaboration with Constellar Exhibition, a subsidiary of Constellar Holdings, the Singapore FinTech Festival (SFF) will be happening from 8 to 12 November 2021.
SFF2021 will be a week-long celebration with the theme “Web 2.0”. In addition, it will be a hybrid event – taking place online and a physical event at the Singapore Expo.
On the initial three days of the event, 8 to 10 November, SFF will bring you the experience, and partners will choose the remaining two days from major FinTech centers across the world.
SFF on Web 3.0
The primary focus of SFF will be on discussing the impact of Web 3.0 on financial services and the digital economy. SFF sessions will uncover the three vital structural drivers that can affect financial services:
1. Re-configuration of financial products and services delivery via Embedded Finance (#EmFi), decentralised finance (#DeFi), and Digital Currencies
2. The Integration of ESG into the core design of financial services.
3. Adoption of fundamental digital infrastructure at an extensive scale (Digital Identity, Trusted Data Exchange, Interoperable Payment Systems, and Consent Systems).
Additionally, MAS said that a deep-dive session would be held to explore methods to use Web 3.0 technology to increase the efficiency of financial intermediation, advance critical objectives such as green finance and financial inclusion, and analyse the regulation and supervision implications.
Participants can expect an inclusive global program including ‘live’ transmissions from global business and government leaders. Additionally, they may wish to witness the MAS Global FinTech Hackcelerator, the Global CBDC Challenge, the revamped SFF FinTech Awards, and the Innovation Lab Crawl winners.
The World FinTech Festival will continue to promote regional FinTech ecosystem development and expand regional collaboration opportunities. On November 11 and 12, 2021, essential partners from Brazil, Cambodia, Hungary, Japan, Nigeria, Poland, the Philippines, and the United States will undertake round-the-clock satellite activities.
The FinTech festival will include curated hybrid meetings with recommended matches, sponsored meet-ups, and an exhibitor directory to enable targeted networking during the event.
